well the rear is fine....great actually. the front i need a new ring and pinion. but if i get a new one i dont want to have to do the same thing with my ring gear as i did before (remember what i told ya?) i had to get ghetto on it...and i think thats the reason why it broke. if you've got the 3.55 (which i think is stock with most XJ's) then i'm golden....i'll just take that one and modify it the way i need too to fit on my ox. but i'm thinking about going ahead and doing 4.10's in the front and finding a ford 8.8 for the back and selling my 8.25. maybe recoup some of the money for the 8.8 i'm sure there are plenty of guys out there who would love to upgrade from a D35 rear to an 8.25. with this swap i can just get chromo axles (which are the weak point in a D30) later but still get my rig on the trail again. i wont have to switch wheels...all i'll have to do is find larger tires...i'm thinkin 36's would do just fine....shouldn't need to do 38's or 39's.....
